APC Loses Two Senators To PDP(See Names)
APC has lost two senators to PDP.
THE NATION REPORTERS reports that two first-rate members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senate Majority Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi and Adamu Aliero, have formally defected to the opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today.
Their official defections were communicated in two separate letters addressed to the Senate President Ahmad Lawan, and read at plenary on Tuesday
Sen. Abdullahi represent Kebbi North Senatorial district while Sen. Ailero represent Kebbi Central Senatorial district.
The Senators’ defections have reduced the number of APC Senators from 71 to 69 in the Senate.
