BREAKING: FG Revokes Licenses Of AIT, Silverbird, 50 Others (See)
FG has revoked licenses of AIT, Silverbird and 50 others.
THE NATION REPORTERS reports that the Federal Government has revoked the operating licenses of African Independent Television(AIT), Silverbird, MTV and 49 other broadcasting stations.
The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) ordered the stations to shut down in the next 24 hours over indebtedness.
It said the stations are operating illegally as they are yet to renew their licenses since 2018.
The Director General of the Commission, Balarabe Illelah announced these on Friday.
lllelah however said the stations can still bail themselves out by offsetting their debts in the next 24 hours.
