It was a moment of joy, knowledge and renewed hope for residents of Ikorodu and neighbouring communities on Thursday, 1st May, 2025, as Abefsat Ventures Multistream staged a historic grassroots empowerment summit that drew multitudes to the ancient town.

Held in the heart of the division, the event witnessed a convergence of traditional wellness enthusiasts, economic revivalists and enterprising minds who came together to champion a dual gospel of health consciousness and wealth creation.

The summit, many observed, was not just an event but a movement—designed to reawaken the economic spirit of the common man and woman.

Anchoring the impactful programme was Mrs Ibrahim Tawakalitu, a decorated Silver Awardee and formidable voice within the Abefsat Multistream family.

With poise and purpose, she represented the indefatigable vision of the initiative’s founders—Mrs Toyin Samuel, fondly known as Our Momma, and Mrs Oyeledun Banjoko a.k.a. Abike Gold. Their shared passion for grassroots empowerment has continued to reverberate across Lagos and the South-West region.

Participants were exposed to practical teachings on the healing potency of local organic solutions such as Jinja Herbal Extract and Iru Herbal Antiseptic Soap—products that have earned pride of place in traditional health advocacy.

In addition, the Abefsat Multistream enterprise model was dissected for better understanding, with emphasis on how structured entrepreneurship can liberate families from the clutches of poverty.

The summit was graced by community stalwarts including Mrs Risikat Adeola Onabajo, pioneer principal of the Rotary Vocational Training Centre; Alhaji F.M.B.Y. Makanjuola Bamidele of Orisun Igbala Muslim Cooperative Union; Leader Seyi Ajiboye; and Alhaja Serifat Gbagba.

Honourable Oke Bukunmi delivered a stirring keynote address, calling on attendees to embrace the twin virtues of healthy living and financial dignity.

The day climaxed with awards, moving testimonials and a bold charge from Leader Olushola Gabriel Bankole a.k.a. Banki, who urged all to go beyond inspiration and embrace action.

“This is our time to rise,” he declared. “Let us not sleep on the blessings laid before us today.”
