Owo Catholic Church Attack: Priest finally speaks

Owo Catholic priest has finally spoken on church attack in Owo.

THE NATION REPORTERS reports that the Priest at the St Francis Catholic Church in Owa-luwa Street in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo state, Rev Father Andrew Abayomi has spoken about the massacre that happened at the church few hours ago today.

During an interview with the press, the priest said the gunmen stormed the church when the service was about coming to an end.

He said, ” We were about to round off service. I had even asked people to start leaving, that was how we started hearing gunshots from different angles.”

“We hid inside the church but some people had left when the attack happened. We locked ourselves in the church for 20 minutes. When we heard that they had left, we opened the church and rushed victims to the hospital,” he added.
