Muslim-Muslim Ticket: Tinubu Breaks Silence, Reveals Running Mate’s Region
Tinubu has finally revealed the region his running mate will be from.
THE NATION REPORTERS reports that the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has clarified his intent to pick a Northern Christian as his running mate.
While addressing journalists at the APC Governorship rally in Ekiti state yesterday, he revealed this to debunk the rumours of picking a Muslim as his running mate.
He further stressed that those carrying rumours were undemocratic elements that are already threatened at his imminent victory in the coming presidential election.
Tinubu said, “The VP slot belongs to the Northeastern region and particularly the Christians, but consultations are yet ongoing as to who will be decided.”
He assured Nigerians that no group, institution or person can impose a running mate on him.
