THE NATION REPORTERS reports that Osun LP Gov Candidate Goes Spiritual After Invasion the Labour Party candidate for the July 16 Osun governorship poll, Mr. Lasun Yusuff, has gone spiritual after gunmen attacked his residence in Ilobu on Monday.

Yusuff had raised an alarm about gunmen attack on his home on Monday via his Twitter handle.

The attack was confirmed by his media aide, Wole Oladimeji, who said that the ex-deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, and members of his family, who had returned home to celebrate the Eid Kabir festival were all in the house when the attackers struck in the early hours of Monday.

Reacting hours later, Yusuff quoted a verse of the Islamic book on those who plot evil.

He said, “And (remember) when the disbelievers plotted against you to imprison you, or to kill you, or to expel you (from your home, Makkah); they were plotting and Allah too was plotting; and Allah is the best of plotters. Quran 8 verse 30.”
