  • Photographer has been arrested for buying human parts in Osun State. 

THE NATION REPORTERS reports that the Ondo State Police Command on Sunday confirmed the arrest of a man, Franklin Akinyosoye, for being in possession of a human parts in Ondo town, Ondo State.

The suspect, who is a photographer, was said to have been arrested in the Elewuro area of the community.

He was said to have claimed ownership of the human parts

Meanwhile, a source in the area said it was a human head that was discovered in a black sack inside the suspect’s compound by some teenagers who are children of the landlord.

The source narrated that the children later raised the alarm before the matter was reported by their father at the station.

The source said, “When a search operation was conducted by the police in the apartment of the suspect, several human parts and other items suspected to be charms and human blood were also discovered in the apartment by the police.”

“When interrogated by the police at the station, the suspect exonerated the landlord and claimed the ownership of all the items found in his possession.

“He further explained that he brought all the items from his herbalist who resides in Ikirun, Ifelodun local government area of Osun State.”

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami said the suspect confessed to having collected the human part from a herbalist in Osun State.

The PPRO said, “One Franklin Akinyosuyi, male, 26 years who claimed to be a photographer and own a boutique in Ondo town was challenged by his landlord for keeping a bag in a corner of the compound.

” The landlord became suspicious and asked the young man to open the bag, and when he did, a human skull was found in the bag, thereafter he was arrested, he claimed it was given to him by a native doctor in Osun State to enhance his business.”

Odunlami said the command had begun Investigation into the matter and confirmed that the suspect was in police custody.
