FLASH: El-Rufai Breaks Silence Over His Ministerial Saga
The former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has broken silence over his ministerial saga.
He said he lost valuable moments when he was involved in public affairs.
Recall that El-Rufai reportedly left the country after the Senate refused to confirm his ministerial nomination.
Speaking further, El-Rufai lamented that he has lost sight of pleasurable times during his last ten years in public office.
He, however, indicated that he plans to catch up on lost time.
In what appeared to be that he commented on his ministerial saga, he said, “”And so for this bright Tuesday, please enjoy this classic and reflect on the equally timeless lyrics. Music is something to enjoy, but being so overwhelmed with public affairs in the last 10 years, I have lost valuable pleasurable moments. Time to catch up on lost time. Enjoy‼ Life is too short not too‼”
Speaking via Twitter on Tuesday morning, the former governor encourage the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to avoid war with the Niger Republic, insisting that the relationship between Nigeria and the embattled country can be compared to that of brothers.
According to him, “As ECOWAS beats the drums of war, I recall the 1970s rock classic by Dire Straits – ‘Brothers in Arms’, because a war within our subregion is a war between brothers. Indeed, the people of Niger Republic are one and the same with those living in Northern Nigeria. Let us bend therefore over backwards to avoid this civil war between brothers.”
