Scores of Nigerians have taken to their social media handles to slam the government and security agencies as a new video emerged showing bandits in Zamfara State celebrating the recent Eid-el-Fitr festival.

The video, disclosed by a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst focused on the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, was shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday.

The footage showcases bandits partaking in Eid festivities, a stark contrast to their notorious reputation for violent crimes and kidnappings in the region.

Makama captioned the video on the micro-blogging platform “Bandits Releases Eid Celebration Video in Zamfara. “Bandits in Zamfara state have released a new video showing its members celebrating the recent Eid-el-Fitr festival in Munhaye community in Zamfara state.”

However, the celebratory video from Munhaye community in Zamfara State has raised eyebrows and sparked discussions about the ongoing security dilemma in parts of Nigeria.

@Sir_Dongizle: There’s no way the army will say they don’t know where these guys are, it’s just disgraceful! Damn💔

@BlessedOdoba: There’s no way the community or government securities will no know that they’re gathering.

@–adewale: We are in trouble o

@swiss_basquait: This is what APC has reduced Nigeria to. A taliban state like Afghanistan.

@igwedip: Including Women and Children.

The government needs to wake up to its responsibility. We cannot continue like this.

@Supermak10: How I wish NAF drone could locate them at that time and suyanize them. It would have been a beautiful EID celebration for us

@EdozieLucius: And our security agentes doesn’t know this location?

@derbywalls: Are we not in trouble like this

@sanusialtine: This explains how the Nigerian security agencies failed to effectively gather and share intelligence to combat the widespread insecurity across the country.

@princepark5252: In the absence of the Government presence, and the works that makes a government a government then this is inevitable.
There is no job that shows those elected were actually there for something except themselves and their families living richly at the expense of the poor masses
