OndoDecides2024: Photo Exposes ‘New’ Vote-Buying Method
A shocking new tactic for vote-buying has been exposed during the ongoing Ondo Governorship Election at PU007, Ajagba Ward 2, Irele Local Government Area.
Party agents at the polling unit were caught handing out signed papers to voters, a method allegedly designed to facilitate cash payments after the election.
In an investigation by TheCable, some voters disclosed that the signed papers serve as proof of allegiance to the agents’ party and will be exchanged for cash once the election is concluded.
However, many voters admitted they were unaware of the exact amount to be paid, leaving room for speculation about the level of influence such practices might exert on the electoral outcome.
