Moore people reaffirms support for Ooni, disassociate Yaya Obawole as Oba of Oke-Ora

The Obajio of Moore, Oba Yaya Elugbaju, has reaffirmed their support of Moore people at large for His Imperial Majesty, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, over his mission to develop Ifeland and Yoruba race at large.

Obajio of Moore made this assertion at his Palace, Ijio Area, on Tuesday, in Ile-Ife.

Speaking on the Obaship issue, Obajio said that, while members of the Moore have agreed to have the peace meeting on the selection of the right Oba of Oke-Ora, they had that one Yaya Obawole was at Oranfe shrine crowing himself as Oba of Oke-Ora.

According to Oba Elugbaju, the entire Moore disregard the self crowned of Yaya Obawole as Oba Oke-Ora and reaffirmed their support for Ooni as supreme authority.

In the same vein, Arode of Ife, High Chief Kayode Awofiranye, stated that from the onset, Moore is under the supreme authority of Ooni and Moore people will never go against the decision of Ooni.

Awofiranye added that the entire people of Moore knew nothing about the self acclaimed Yaya Obawole at Oranfe Shrine as Oba Oke-Ora.

He, therefore, appreciated Obajio of Moore, Oba Yaya Elugbaju, for his fatherly role played in maintaining peace and order in Moore.

Additionally, the Loodoko of Moore Agbada, Chief Akeem Olaobaju, said that Moore at large is yet to choose their right candidate for the position of Oba of Oke-Ora.

Olaobaju described the intending peace meeting as very essential for the growth and development of Moore and Oke-Ora, also frowned at the decision of Yaya Obawole presented himself as Oba of Oke-Ora.

He added that when it’s right time, Moore at large through Obajio will communicate to the appropriate quarters their candidate as Oba of Oke-Ora.
