Moro Kingmakers Endorse Oyeyemi Adebayo As Olumoro-Elect, Declare No Vacancy
The people of Moro, have said that there’s no vacancy in the stool of Olumoro of Moro after the selection of Olumoro-elect, Oyeyemi Adebayo by the Kingmakers.
The Kingmakers made the declaration during the Press Conference at Moro in Ife North West Local Council Development Authority(LCDA), on Wednesday.
While speaking, the Molaage of Moro, Chief Adeyemi Adeagbo, stated that all kingmakers were present during the selection.
Adeagbo emphasised that Moro has already has his own Olumoro-elect, only waiting for the approval of the state government and the announcement on installation day to receive the staff of office
According to him, there’s peaceful coexistence within the town while commercial activities not disrupted.
Also, the Omoloju of Moro, Chief Oluyinka Olanrewaju, explained that the Yoruba culture did not give room for acting Royal Father in Ile-Ife and it’s environs.
The Omoloju kicked against Oosa of Moro, Chief Abidemi Abidoye, claiming himself as acting OluMoro of Moro after the Olumoro-elect has been selected, only in Ekiti and Ondo state, are practicing Rejent,not in Ife and it’s environs.
According to him, no Chief can choose the OluMoro, but Kingmakers responsible for that, warned Oosa of Moro as one of the Chiefs to stop parading himself as Acting OluMoro, otherwise will face the Court of Law.
In the same vein, the Secretary, Arowosilejoye House, Prince Olasunmboye Jinadu, appreciated the Kingmakers for imbibed in the spirit of fairness and equity in appropriate selection.
Additionally, the Secretary, Arowoeledejoye House, Hon. Oyeyemi Bamgboye, applauded the Kingmakers for right selection and the Moro indigene for maintaining peaceful coexistence within the town till date.
Bamgboye, also warned the Oosa of Moro to desist from announcing himself as acting OluMoro of Moro, for it’s a taboo in Ife traditional cultural heritage and it’s environs.
