Radio Has Contributed To Global Peace And Security – Crown FM Head

The Head of Administration, 101.5 Crown FM, Mr Adesola Odunlade, has said that radio has contributed significantly to the peaceful coexistence and security advancement globally.
Odunlade made the statement during an interview with our correspondent to commemorate World Radio Day, on Thursday, in Ile-Ife.
He said that the theme for 2025 was” Radio and climate change”, appealed that whatever will destroy the climate change we live in, we shouldn’t engage in it.
The Head of Administration, congratulated the radio workers across the board, as World Radio Day is celebrated worldwide, charged people to encourage,support and advocate on radio stations.
According to him,radio is not a device, but a spirit, those that work in radio stations take today annually to celebrates themselves.
“To say that radio has not done something significant is an error, radio is a medium of education, information, entertaining the society for several decades.
“Radio practitioners has authority on the issues of information and entertainment, cautionbed them on what they do on radio.
“Radio has make significant help, significant fit, significant contribution to the advancement of peaceful advancement of security globally”. He stated.
Odunlade explained that Radio has played a pivotal role in sensitising and informing people on climate change.
He added that Radio is a medium of authority when it comes to information and means of disseminate Information to the grassroot.
“There are some people who listen to radio, but do not have television set, even if they have, it’s useless because they don’t have network to connect them in remote area.
Odunlade advised the people to continuing listening to radio, so as to learn and benefit from different radio programmes, which would helps one to become good citizens and more patriotic to the country.
He warned the broadcasters against wrong conversion that can pollute people and the society on radio.
“Radio workers should train themselves, be a role model, have a good mentol who can guide them rightly.
“And when names are being mention on the world of radio in the nearest future, their names can stand”.The Head of Administration tasked.
