Ikorodu Witnesses Grassroots Revolution As Abefsat Blends Health, Wealth Education

In what many have described as a turning point for community empowerment in Lagos, Abefsat Ventures Multistream on Thursday, May 1st, 2025, hosted a monumental empowerment summit in the heart of Ikorodu Division, drawing thousands of participants from across the state and beyond.
The event, which combined health enlightenment with financial literacy, took place at a packed venue in Ikorodu and left attendees inspired, equipped and energised to take control of their destinies. With a focus on wellness and wealth creation, the summit offered practical tools and life-changing insights tailored to meet the needs of everyday Nigerians.
Leading the charge was Mrs Ibrahim Tawakalitu, a seasoned entrepreneur and Silver Awardee within the Abefsat Multistream network, who anchored the event with grace and authority. She stood in for the organisation’s principal mentors — Mrs Toyin Samuel (fondly called Our Momma) and Mrs Oyeledun Banjoko (Abike Gold) — both of whom are recognised trailblazers in grassroots enterprise across South-West Nigeria.
Participants were taken through robust sessions highlighting the immense benefits of Jinja Herbal Extracts and Iru Herbal Antiseptic Soap — products that have become household names in the wellness space.
The seminar also unveiled the inner workings of the Abefsat Multistream financial model, which has empowered hundreds across the country to become self-reliant through structured entrepreneurial guidance.
The gathering was graced by distinguished personalities, including the pioneer principal of Rotary Vocational Training Centre, Mrs Risikat Adeola Onabajo; founder of Orisun Igbala Muslim Cooperative Union, Alhaji F.M.B.Y. Makanjuola Bamidele; and community stalwarts like Leader Seyi Ajiboye and Alhaja Serifat Gbagba.
In a keynote address, Honourable Oke Bukunmi urged participants to take their health seriously while leveraging financial platforms like Multistream to achieve lasting independence. His session struck a chord with many as he linked poor health awareness to economic stagnation in underserved communities.
The summit reached its peak with soul-stirring testimonials from beneficiaries of the Abefsat model, followed by award presentations to outstanding partners.
Leader Olushola Gabriel Bankole (popularly known as Banki) brought the event to a close with rousing words that challenged participants to transform their knowledge into measurable action.
As the crowd dispersed, it was evident that this was not just another seminar — it was a grassroots revolution. In a society grappling with economic hardship and dwindling public support, Abefsat Ventures has offered a beacon of hope through private initiative and community-driven engagement.
