Why PDP Members, Others Are Joining APC – Oyinlola

Former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has spoken about the recent defection by members of the Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party, and others to the All Progressives Congress.
Oyinlola during an interview on a radio programme, said he was bemused that people are decamping to the APC despite the hardship in the country.
The former governor said it is surprising that politicians are joining the APC despite the federal government failing to keep its campaign promises.
Speaking on what could be responsible for the defection, Oyinlola said two things are likely to be the reasons for people leaving the opposition parties to the APC.
Oyinlola, who spoke in Yoruba, said, “For me, two things can be the reason why they are moving to the APC. The first one is that maybe they’ve committed a crime, and they want a soft landing, thereby going to the APC to save themselves.
“The second thing is selfishness. Those decamping are selfish because I’ve not heard anyone of them saying they are decamping because of the masses. It is about themselves.”
