Uproar On Social Media As Phyna Attacks Davido’s Aide, Leaks Israel DMW’s Secrets (See Photos)

A fresh wave of controversy has hit the Nigerian entertainment scene, as reality television star and actress, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, took to social media to launch a scathing attack on Israel DMW, the personal logistics manager to Afrobeats superstar, Davido.

Phyna, a former Big Brother Naija winner, stunned fans and observers alike with a series of explosive posts on X (formerly Twitter), in which she publicly called Israel “a very useless man” and “a disgrace,” while also releasing private WhatsApp conversations between them.

The development has since sent social media into a frenzy, with users sharply divided over the appropriateness of her actions.

In one of the viral tweets seen on Saturday, Phyna did not mince words, describing Israel in demeaning terms and making references to what appears to be a private dispute between the duo.

What shocked many, however, was her decision to leak screenshots of personal chats involving Israel and his estranged wife, Sheila Courage.

In the now-public messages, Israel allegedly lamented the breakdown of his marriage, accusing Sheila of betrayal and walking out of the union without formally returning the bride price.

He claimed his marital rights remained intact until the traditional rites were reversed.

“Until they return my bride price, she’s still my wife,” a portion of the leaked chat read, capturing Israel’s frustrations over what he termed emotional trauma and cultural violation.

The posts have sparked mixed reactions across various platforms. While some users criticised Phyna for exposing sensitive, culturally charged matters, others sympathised with Israel, questioning the rationale behind airing such private grievances in the public domain.

What has particularly raised eyebrows is the perceived betrayal, given that both parties hail from Edo State. Many questioned why Phyna would choose to drag a fellow Edo native so aggressively online, with critics accusing her of chasing clout at the expense of dignity.

“She’s lost every sense of decorum. No Edo woman behaves like this,” one user wrote in response to the saga.
