JUST IN: FG Declares Public Holidays For Christmas, New Year
The Federal Government has announced that Wednesday, December 25; Thursday, December 26; and Wednesday, January 1, 2025, will be public holidays celebrating Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year’s festivities.
In a statement issued on Monday by the Permanent Secretary in the Interior Ministry, Magdalene Ajani, the Minister, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo sent his best wishes to Nigerians, urging citizens to embody the values of love, peace, and unity during this season.
“The Christmas season offers a wonderful opportunity for both spiritual introspection and national rejuvenation. While we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, let us show kindness and goodwill towards each other, regardless of our differences,” Tunji-Ojo said.
He also highlighted the importance of strengthening family and community ties, promoting harmony that aids national progress.
Tunji-Ojo added that the government is committed to ensuring peace, security, and prosperity throughout the nation, and he is confident that President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda would lead the country toward a more prosperous 2025.
