Actress Michelle Trachtenberg, renowned for her roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl, has tragically passed away at the age of 39, sources confirmed to The Post.

Trachtenberg was found by her mother at approximately 8 a.m. on Wednesday at One Columbus Place, a luxury 51-story apartment complex located in Manhattan’s Central Park South. According to sources, she had recently undergone a liver transplant and died of natural causes.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed that Trachtenberg was discovered “unconscious and unresponsive” and was later pronounced dead by EMS workers.

Emergency responders had been called to the building following a 911 call reporting a woman suffering from cardiac arrest.

The NYPD stated that her death is not considered suspicious, and the cause will be determined by the city’s medical examiner.

In recent months, Trachtenberg posted concerning images on her Instagram, where she has over 800,000 followers.

The photos showed her appearing frail and gaunt, sparking comments from fans about her dramatic weight loss, with some questioning if she was struggling with substance use.

Last January, Trachtenberg addressed fan concerns, reassuring them she was “happy and healthy” and had never undergone plastic surgery.

Born in New York City on October 11, 1985, Trachtenberg’s acting career began early. At the age of 9, she earned her first credited role as Nona F. Mecklenberg on the beloved Nickelodeon series The Adventures of Pete and Pete.

She later became known for her roles in family-friendly films, making her movie debut in the 1996 film Harriet the Spy, where she portrayed the title character.
