Relief and joy are in the air as Adeola George, the daughter of renowned Nollywood actress Jumoke George, has arrive in Nigeria today, Monday, after being stranded in Mali for four years.
Her return was facilitated by the Federal Government following the exposure of her plight by fellow actress Biola Adebayo through her popular podcast, “Talk to B.”

The touching story unfolded when Jumoke George appeared on Adebayo’s podcast, revealing the immense challenges she had faced. The veteran actress shared that she had been unwell since January 2025 and had been residing in a church for over six years. Adding to her distress, her daughter, Adeola, had been missing for over four years, leaving her with the sole responsibility of caring for her two grandchildren.

Moved by Jumoke George’s emotional account, Biola Adebayo took it upon herself to investigate further. Her efforts led her to connect with Adeola, who disclosed that she had been in Mali for the past four years. Adeola expressed her deep desire to return home but was unable to do so due to expired travel documents.

Determined to help, Adebayo reached out to the Nigerian Embassy in Mali and the Nigeria in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), under the leadership of Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
