[BREAKING] 2026: Ex-Osun SSG, Moshood Adeoti Withdraws From Aregbesola’s Caucus
Former Secretary to the State Government of Osun, Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti, has formally announced his withdrawal from the Omoluabi Progressives, a political caucus linked to former Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

In a letter dated November 30, 2025, and addressed to the Chairman of the group at Ayinke Towers, Osogbo, Adeoti—who also served as the Deputy Leader and co-founder of the Omoluabi Progressives—declared his complete exit from the caucus and all its activities.
Describing the decision as a difficult one, Adeoti noted that he had invested significantly in the growth and stability of the group from its inception through its most challenging periods.
He added that persistent pressure from his immediate and extended family members, urging him to take a short break from political engagements, contributed to his decision.
“I hereby tender this letter of withdrawal from the group, which I co-founded with other Progressive-minded individuals across the state. This also includes my complete withdrawal from all the group activities henceforth,” he wrote.
Adeoti expressed gratitude to members of the Omoluabi Progressives for the trust they placed in him over the years and extended his best wishes to the current leadership as the group continues its political journey ahead of the 2026 election cycle.
