66th Birthday: Sooko Agoriesin Of Ile-Ife Hails Gov. Adeleke’s Developmental Strides, Commends Lagere Flyover Project
The newly installed Sooko Agoriesin of Ile-Ife, Oladotun Hassan, has congratulated the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, on the occasion of his 66th birthday anniversary, commending his administration’s developmental strides across the state, particularly the ongoing Lagere flyover and road dualization project in Ile-Ife.
In a press statement personally signed by him on Wednesday, the royal father described Governor Adeleke as a visionary and people-oriented leader whose commitment to infrastructure, education, healthcare and grassroots development continues to impact positively on the lives of Osun residents.
Sooko Hassan praised the governor for the ongoing construction of the Lagere flyover, describing the project as a landmark intervention capable of easing traffic congestion and boosting commercial activities within the ancient city of Ile-Ife.
According to him, Lagere remains one of the busiest commercial and transportation hubs in Ifeland, serving as a major link for residents and visitors from different parts of the town and neighbouring communities.
He noted that Governor Adeleke’s decision to embark on the project reflects a clear understanding of the infrastructural challenges facing Ile-Ife and demonstrates his administration’s determination to improve the daily lives of the people.
The legal practitioner and Yoruba cultural advocate stated that beyond solving traffic challenges around the Lagere axis, the flyover project would further enhance the aesthetic outlook of the city while creating more opportunities for commerce and social interaction.
Sooko Hassan also commended Governor Adeleke for extending developmental projects beyond his hometown and ensuring that different parts of Osun State benefit from his administration’s infrastructure drive.
He added that the widespread nature of projects under the current administration has helped to dispel insinuations that development is concentrated in a particular area, stressing that many communities across Osun can testify to the visible impacts of the governor’s leadership.
Beyond infrastructure, the royal father lauded Governor Adeleke’s investments in the education sector, particularly initiatives aimed at improving learning facilities in public schools and expanding access to quality education for young people across the state.
He further acknowledged the administration’s developmental footprints in healthcare, road construction, workers’ welfare and rural community development, describing Governor Adeleke as a leader whose governance style prioritises inclusiveness, fairness and grassroots transformation.
While felicitating with the governor on his 66th birthday, Sooko Hassan prayed for more wisdom, strength and sound health for him to continue delivering democratic dividends to the people of Osun State.
