FOSU Hosts 2026 Educational Summit, Trains Students On Discipline, Leadership, Moral Values

The Federation of Odo Otin Students Union has organised its 2026 Educational Summit at Inisha Grammar School, Osun State, urging students to embrace leadership qualities, discipline and moral values in pursuit of academic excellence.

The summit brought together students, education stakeholders and community leaders from different parts of Odo Otin Local Government Area.

Among dignitaries present at the event were the Executive Chairman of Odo Otin Local Government, Hon. Johnson Oladele Adepoju Iko; Hon. Eniade of Eniade Foundation; Barr. Olayinka Akande-Oyefisu of Stepping Up Foundation; Hon. Dr Saliu Oyelami Orisunlagba and Hon. Comrade Sanjo Adepoju.

Speaking during the programme, Sanjo Adepoju stressed the importance of moral discipline and character building in education, noting that students must combine academic excellence with integrity and responsible conduct.

According to him, discipline remains one of the major foundations of leadership and societal development.

Another guest speaker, Dr. Wale Oyedeji, charged students to remain focused on their education and avoid distractions capable of affecting their future ambitions.

He also emphasised the need for young people to uphold good moral values, describing education as a tool for personal and societal transformation.

Students at the summit participated in interactive sessions, where they engaged the speakers on issues relating to leadership, academic success and personal development.

In his remarks, the Caretaker Chairman of FOSU, Comrade Oluwatosin Seun Olateju, popularly known as Eyinju Olodumare, appreciated the dignitaries, guest speakers and participants for supporting the summit.

He particularly commended the Chairman of Odo Otin Local Government for his support towards educational development and youth-focused initiatives within the council area.

Comr Eyinju also appreciated Barr Olayinka AKANDE- OYEFISU for recruiting Part teachers across Secondary schools in Odo Otin local government and other contributors to the success of the summit, including Dr. Saliu Oyelami Orisunlagba, Hon. Adeniyi Fatah Alabi and Comrade Oyetunji Emmanuel.
