THE NATION REPORTERS reports that the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, and his Kano state counterpart, Abdullahi Ganduje are the two leading candidates for the post of Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) in the incoming administration.

It is understood that the positions of the SGF, Senate Presidency, and Speakership will be discussed during Monday’s closed-door meeting of the APC leadership and the party’s National Assembly members-elect at the State House in Abuja.
It was learned the allocation of the positions will be thoroughly discussed at the meeting in order to secure the commitment of everyone to form a common front before the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly in June.
Meanwhile, the speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, is being tipped for the position of Chief of Staff (CoS) to Tinubu.
It was reported that the 6th term legislator is likely to relinquish his seat in the 10th assembly for the top position in Tinubu’s cabinet.
