Fadahunsi Targets Vulnerable Groups with Elderly Women, Widows Outreach in Ile-Ife
Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi has extended support to elderly women and widows in the Ife axis through a large-scale outreach held at the Oba Okunade Sijuwade Hall, Enuwa, Ile-Ife, offering relief and encouragement to hundreds of beneficiaries.

The programme, tagged Ife Elderly Women and Widows Outreach, attracted a large turnout of aged women and widows drawn from different communities, in an intervention aimed at easing economic hardship and recognising their contributions to society.

Speaking on behalf of the senator, his wife, Chief Mrs Adeola Victoria Fadahunsi, explained that the initiative was designed to reach groups often neglected in conventional constituency projects, particularly elderly women and widows, while noting that the senator’s interventions also cut across youth development and general welfare.
The Senior Legislative Aide to the senator, Ayọ̀ Awodirepo, said the outreach was part of broader efforts to cushion the impact of poverty and hunger, adding that the senator also supports constituents through job opportunities and other welfare-focused programmes.
On her part, Bosede Oyesanmi of the Directorate of Internal Audit, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, used the opportunity to sensitise the women on healthy living, family care, social engagement, diligence, and the importance of prayer.
Beneficiaries, many of whom arrived early in the morning, received food items, financial support, and other empowerment materials. A beneficiary, Faderera Adelore, expressed appreciation for what she described as consistent concern for the welfare of vulnerable members of the community.
The event also had in attendance representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Deputy Chief Imam of Ife, underscoring the broad community support for the outreach.
