The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a strong and uncompromising warning over what it described as stolen electoral mandates, declaring its readiness to reclaim what rightfully belongs to the party.

This bold declaration was made during what party leaders described as the “Mother of All Conventions,” a gathering that signaled a renewed sense of unity, resistance, and political determination within the opposition fold.

In a statement released by the Plateau State Publicity Secretary, Dr. Samaila Achigak A. Rukuba, the party made it clear that the era of electoral manipulation and imposed leadership would no longer be tolerated.

“Let no one be deceived. No governor will walk away with what belongs to us. We will take back our mandate freely, decisively, and completely,” the statement read.

The convention, which drew party faithful from across various levels, was marked by charged rhetoric and a unified call for action. According to the PDP, the gathering was not merely a routine political meeting but a defining moment aimed at confronting what it termed injustice and reclaiming lost victories.

Party leaders emphasized that the PDP remains strong, united, and battle-ready, dismissing narratives suggesting internal division or weakness. Instead, they described the party as “forged” through challenges and prepared to resist any form of political oppression.

In one of the most striking moments of the convention, the party declared that all mandates allegedly taken from it would be contested and reclaimed, leaving no room for ambiguity about its intentions.

“This is not rhetoric, this is a line drawn with finality,” the statement added, reinforcing the party’s resolve to challenge every perceived injustice in the political space.

The PDP further warned those it accused of benefiting from manipulated electoral outcomes not to mistake its past restraint for weakness, stressing that a new phase of assertiveness has begun.

“We are coming. We are ready. And we will take back what is ours,” the statement concluded.
