22 APC Senators Set To Decamp To PDP
22 APC Senators plan to defect to PDP.
THE NATION REPORTERS reports that Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has hinted that Twenty-two senators from the All Progressives Congress(APC) are set to defect to the opposition party, People’s Democratic Party(PDP).
In a statement on his twitter handle, on Wednesday, he revealed that the Senators are set to decamp to PDP.
Fani-Kayode stated that the situation is serious; and the party cannot afford to lose the senators.
He tweeted: “This is serious and something must be done to prevent it. Many are concerned and we urge our able Nat. Chairman and the National Secretary to reach them. We cannot afford to lose them.”
Earlier, the National Chairman of the APC, Adamu Abdullahi had met with the party’s senators on Wednesday.
Likewise, Adamu met with the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, for a brief meeting before the general meeting at the National Assembly complex.
