In a shocking revelation, a graduate of Benue State University (BSU) has taken to X (former Twitter) to shed light on the mistreatment of students by lecturers.

This comes in the wake of a viral video reported by Sahara Reporters, showing a lecturer physically assaulting a 100-level student who accidentally entered his classroom.

The graduate, using the handle @Johnsam82044202, detailed his own harrowing experience at the hands of a BSU lecturer.

He wrote: That’s my school I graduated in 2013. A lecturer asked me to clean his office for 7 months everyday before he gave me E in a 3 credit course, A course that I read very well still he gave me a carry-over and asked me to clean his office before he gave me an E
BSU is evil.”

Reacting to the incident reported by Sahara Reporters, @Johnsam82044202 expressed his dismay and related it to his personal experience during his time at BSU.

“That’s my school I graduated in 2013,” he began, providing context for the allegations he was about to unveil. The graduate’s tweet quickly gained traction, drawing attention to the pervasive issue of lecturer misconduct at the university.

According to @Johnsam82044202, he was coerced into cleaning a lecturer’s office daily for seven months before he was given a grade in a crucial three-credit course.

Despite his diligent study and preparation, the lecturer initially awarded him a carry-over, a move that forced the student to continue performing menial tasks in hopes of securing a pass. “A lecturer asked me to clean his office for 7 months every day before he gave me an E in a 3 credit course,” he recounted.

The graduate’s ordeal did not end there. He emphasized that his academic performance was not a factor in the lecturer’s decision, as he had read extensively and prepared well for the course. “A course that I read very well still he gave me a carry-over,” he stated, highlighting the arbitrary and unjust nature of the lecturer’s actions.
